“I first met Leonie about 12 months ago. It was at a time in my life where things pretty miserable. I had recently been diagnosed with depression, and needed to make a big change in my life. My fiancé had relocated for work, I was unhappy with my weight and to top it of, I was in the midst of planning our wedding. I started training with Leonie initially to get my out of the house whilst my fiancé was away, but it soon became something much more. Training with Leonie became both a physically and mental adventure. Physically, Leonie pushed me harder than I'd ever been pushed before. There were times when I didn't think I'd be able to finish the session, but somehow with Leonie's encouragement I did - and it felt great! Each week I became physically stronger and much fitter, and by the end of my first 12 week course, I not only managed to drop over four minutes from my run time trial, I dropped a few dress sizes as well.

Today, I'm still training with Leonie, and continue to improve. Every session is different, and the 'all girl' approach not only allows me to feel comfortable when I'm training but also I've made a few new friends along the way. My now-husband told me the other day that he thinks Leonie changes lives...... I would definitely agree with that!!!!”

She's extremely professional and works very hard to ensure her sessions are varied and individually challenging. Everyone is very supportive and full of encouragement as your fitness improves.  I can't praise Leonie enough. She is so friendly and relaxed that you very quickly forget your inhibitions and throw yourself into your training. I can't believe that I actually enjoy running now. “There's nothing quite like getting up to see in the day while exercising on the beach. Leonie's class is a mix of hard work and fun. As a trainer she is exceptional: always aware of everyone's different levels of fitness and taking special care of those with injuries. She pushes everyone to their limits but understands the need to take down the pace to help the body recover between sessions. Because classes stay relatively small in number you find that each person receives individual attention - not something I've found in other classes I've taken. With assessments every 8 weeks you also get a feel for the improvements you've made and it serves to drive you more.

Leonie's keen sense of humour keeps the class fun and upbeat. However, for Leonie its not just all about the fitness. She provides nutritional advice for those who are keen to couple their exercise with a healthy eating plan. And will provide support and an ear to listen when you need it most.

Its a testament to Leonie that many of the girls who train have been there from the start. Getting up at 6am has never been so appealing. Try it.... your body will thank you for it. Take it from someone who couldn't do a full push up a year ago and can now manage 30 in a minute (and we're not talking from the knees!!!).”
